Company

Nelson Usability Associates was founded in 1985 by Michael Nelson and Diana Nelson, and has been in business continuously since then.

Our business focus is on the design and evaluation of software applications and web sites to help ensure that they are usable and successful.

Principals

Mike Nelson, Ph.D.

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in user experience design and evaluation. He managed UX groups at Lexis-Nexis and Borland.  He has worked on a wide range of design and usability problems in desktop software applications, web sites, web applications, and consumer products.

Diana Nelson, Ph.D.

Diana has more than 25 years of experience in user experience design and evaluation.  She managed a large human factors engineering group at Systems Research Labs.  She has worked on a wide range of design and usability problems in desktop software applications, web sites, and web applications.  In addition, she has taught seminars in usability testing, web and application design, and user-centered analysis.
